Experience

Jorge is a real estate expert with over 15 years of experience in development, expansion, property acquisitions, and asset management. He is the founder and principal of Verawood Properties. His expertise spans across single family homes, multifamily, student housing, retail, and hospitality asset classes. 

Before founding Verawood Properties, Jorge was responsible for Walmart's expansion throughout Mexico, managing big-box and convenience store formats. After transitioning to the United States, he worked at Campus Evolution Villages in New York City, where he conducted acquisition due diligence, underwriting, and asset management for student housing properties across the country.

Jorge also has experience as a visiting associate at Mexico Retail Properties, specializing in retail and commercial real estate investments in Mexico, and at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he presented a recommendation on the growth of select service hotels in Mexico.

Education

• B.A. in Business Administration from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

• M.S. in Real Estate with a concentration in finance and investment from New York University.

He is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of Florida and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
